OUR LADY OF GRACE YOUTH MINISTRY

“YOUTH COMING TOGETHER”

All Youth and Young Adult activities are moderated and coordinated by
Fr. Peter Sticco, Pastor and Mary Reed, Youth Minister

JUNIOR YOUTH GROUP

Our Junior Youth Group meets on Sunday evenings from 6:30 P.M. to 8:30 P.M.  It is a Place where the 6^th, 7^th and 8^th graders can come to play basketball, games, sit and listen to music and usually every two weeks we plan a meeting for them that are specific to their age group.

 The Senior Youth Group members also join them and the older youth work with Fr. Peter and myself on giving the meetings.

SENIOR YOUTH GROUP

Our Senior Youth Group meets on Wednesday evenings at 7:30 P.M. in the Church Hall.

Our meetings deal with the issues that face our young people in today’s world concerning their values, morals and faith.  We also sponsor a yearly Leadership Retreat in the summer running for 4 days, a ski trip, winter retreats, lock-ins, community service projects, musical productions, and special liturgical events. The Senior Youth group runs from the beginning of 8^th grade through college.

YOUNG ADULT GROUP                               “MINISTRY IN MOTION”

Our Young Adult Group encompasses the age group running from 18 through 35.  These Young adults begin to participate in this group as Seniors in high school.  This ministry meets approximately once a month.  We meet for dinner and we have guest speakers come in to cover topics relevant to this age group. Our young adults are also involved in community service and work on programs with our younger groups.

CHILDREN’S CHOIR

Our children’s choir sings at the 9:00 A.M. Mass on Sunday.  Anyone of grammar schoolage is welcome to join.  The choir director is Alissa Reed with some of our older youth assisting.

YOUTH CHOIR

 Our youth choir is made up of members from our senior youth group and they sing at the 12:15 P.M. Mass on Sunday. We are also working on reopening our Youth Center “Our Father’s Place” which is located in the parking lot directly across.  We are repainting and doing some house cleaning but as soon as it’s ready we will open it both Junior and Senior youth group members on certain nights of the week.  We have a pool table, a foos ball table, TV, stereo, etc. It is a place for the youth to hang out in a safe environment.  Watch for our opening!
